15 Up-And-Coming Robot Vacuum Deals Bloggers You Need To Check Out
Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
If you've always wanted to buy a robot vacuum now is the time to get one. CNET's top-rated models are available for sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with savings of up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties itself and automatically refills its water tank.
1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. Its greatest advancement is an obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste that most other robots can't avoid (and often slough through). It's the first robot to provide you with a picture of an object that it encounters, so you can instruct the robot to avoid it.
The Combo J7+ is the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt with ease while leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. It can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't clean in areas that you don't want. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it by voice.
The design is also more appealing than the other models. It features a sleek, top piece that appears like a toy rather than an obnoxious and loud robot. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying which is great for reducing your cleanup time.
In our tests the j7+ performed quick to remove dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one spot instead of scattering it across the floor. It was able to collect small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a tiny bit of grit. Most robots can't accomplish this feat. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair.
While it's not quite as smart as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum and can't clean stairs, the j7+ is still a solid option for those who need both a vac and a mop in their home. It's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates, and it can be difficult to know if they are functioning until you actually witness them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
When you're looking for a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, the best choice is probably hybrid. This kind of robot usually includes a built-in water tank, meaning they can both mop and vacuum your home simultaneously. They also come with a variety of extra features like smart mapping and small object avoidance and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. The downside is that they can be expensive when purchased at full retail price, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.
Roborock makes some of our most loved robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ does not fail to impress. This is their least expensive auto-empty model, and while it doesn't have some of the premium features you'll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent option if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save a few hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is extremely soft when it comes to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it an excellent option for homes with many furniture pieces. It's also extremely thorough when it comes to cleaning dust bunnies, which is a problem which many robot vacuums often fail. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is fantastic too, with very little misses in corners and along walls.
Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled with a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, design virtual barrier and no-go areas, alter your home map, or re-label the rooms.
If you select the Q5+ it comes with a brand new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make the robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver install, but once it's in place, emptying the bin is relatively easy. It comes with a huge LCD screen, which is useful in setting up schedules and changing settings. This isn't an essential feature for most people however it can help you keep the track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot effortlessly.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated, well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design is among the best in the industry, but it's expensive.
The base station is attractive and is hidden when it's not in use, and the dimensions are quite small. The station's main selling point is that it can automate many tasks, chores and functions that other robots leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot clean and charged.
Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive, too. It's one of the few robovacs I've tried that does very well at picking up debris on plain floors, and is not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, which means it can get stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the home. It also can't climb stairs as well as other competitors and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning zone for plush carpets.
Although it doesn't have as much in the way of cleaning options available in its app, or as many shortcuts in the app like other robovacs the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those seeking a great all-round robot vacuum and mop that's worth the price tag.
If you're looking to save money or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options on the market. A lot of eufy models are significantly less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example is less expensive and has many more features, like stair climbing and a full-function Dock, with a better overall vacuuming experience on floors that are unfinished carpets, low-pile carpets as well as high-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy is an Anker company that has an established track record of making robot vacuums that offer the perfect balance of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning of hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at an affordable price point. It's easy to setup by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch on and plug in the charging dock. The app guides you through the steps needed to connect it to Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. It is recommended to keep the dock close to an electrical outlet and ample space for it to move but.
The G30 is tiny, 2.85 inches tall to be exact and will fit under many sofas and other furniture with low clearance. Its design isn't as ostentatious when compared to rival models. It features a sleek black finish with three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral pattern for two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.
The way in which the G30 cleans is what separates it from its rivals. It uses an integrated map to make an image of the immovable items that are in its path. It remembers the items it has cleaned and what it is unable to access. If it requires a recharge, it will automatically return to its base, and then resumes cleaning where it left off.
The eufy G30 isn't without faults however. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better constructed, has lower recurring costs, is charged faster and offers similar battery life while offering superior performance on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It comes with a larger dust bin that does not require more emptying. It also comes with border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 is, on the other hand is more affordable and much more manageable to maintain. robotic vacuum cleaner best means it doesn't have to be empty as often and has less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
